What we collect, why, and what we send onward.
This policy has not yet been reviewed by counsel. It describes our actual practice; it is not legal advice.
Who is responsible
TierBuff operates tierbuff.com and is the controller of the data described here. Contact: contact@tierbuff.com.
What we collect
- Technical logs. Request metadata handled by our infrastructure provider — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp — used for security and abuse prevention.
- Analytics. Aggregate usage measurement loaded through Google Tag Manager when configured.
- Outbound click counts. When you follow a commercial link, we record that the click happened, when, the referring page, and the country reported by our network.
The click identifier
Commercial links leave this site through our own redirect. Each click is given a randomly generated identifier, which is transmitted to the destinationin the link so that a referral we are paid for can be reconciled against the partner's statement.
That identifier is random. It is not derived from you, it is not stored in your browser, and it is not joined to analytics or to any other record we hold. The destination may associate it with what it observes after the click; that is the purpose it exists for, and it is why this is a disclosure and not a footnote.
Legal bases (GDPR Art. 6)
- Legitimate interest — Art. 6(1)(f), for security, abuse prevention, aggregate site measurement, and measuring referrals we are paid for.
Recipients
Our hosting and network provider and analytics providers process requests on our behalf. Game publishers and stores receive the click identifier described above when you follow a commercial link to them. We do not sell personal data.
Transfers outside the EEA
Our infrastructure is globally distributed, so requests may be handled outside the EEA under the safeguards our provider maintains.
Retention
Technical logs are retained by our provider under their own schedule. Outbound click records, including the click identifier, are retained for 24 months, which is the window in which a referral can still be queried or reconciled.
Profiling and automated decisions
We do not profile you and we make no automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects (GDPR Art. 22). The click identifier described above is random and single-purpose: it reconciles one referral, it is not joined to anything else we hold, and it is not used to build a picture of you. Nothing on this site is personalised to the individual reader.
Children
This site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16, and we do not serve advertising of any kind, targeted or otherwise. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, write tocontact@tierbuff.com and we will delete it.
California residents
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CPRA, and we run no cross-context behavioural advertising — so there is no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism to offer, because there is nothing it would switch off. California residents may still request to know, delete, or correct personal information we hold, and we will not discriminate against anyone for exercising those rights.
Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write tocontact@tierbuff.com. You may also complain to your national supervisory authority.
